What is the command to gray out a column?
I have a couple DXL generated columns that I want to indicate are not supposed to be edited by the user. To do this, I want to make the background of the column cells a gray color. This will provide consistency with how the view appears when it is in "Read-Only" edit mode.

I would just make a column using layout dxl or make the actual attribute a dxl attribute.

What is the layout DXL to gray out the column as I want to?

What is the layout DXL to gray out the column as I want to?
Here is one example displaying Object Heading on a gray backgound in a Layout DXL column. Please also read the section on "canvas" in DXL Help.
Object o = obj
DBE c = getCanvas
background(c, logicalReadOnlyTextBackgroundColor)
color(c, logicalReadOnlyTextColor)
display o."Object Heading" ""

Nearly correct ;)
Your code would stop on any kind of export ....
Better check for null canvas:
DBE c = getCanvas();
if (!null c) {
background (c, logicalReadOnlyTextBackgroundColor)
color (c, logicalDataTextColor)
}
display "Hallo Welt!"

Yep, sorry, forgot the check for null canvas. Thanks Reik.

Instead of using a canvas, I believe you ought to be able to make it an attribute DXL, but give everyone except admins read-only to the attribute.
I am only speaking theoretically as I cannot test this right now, but it ought to work.
